I was accepted by the Canandaigua Medical Group as a NEW patient, and Dr. Cantwell will be my new OB!! I’m very excited, today is my first appointment. It won’t be all that glamourous, they will do a Pap/Pelvic, suck tons of vials of blood, perform every STD test known to man, make me fill out miles of paperwork, and eventually, I’ll get to hear the babies heartbeat!!! 🙂 Thats the best part!!
I got to hear the heartbeat today! It was just so amazing to know that there is a lil person growing inside of me, hearing the heartbeat makes it so much more real! The throwing up, motion sickness, and nausea are all good indicaters that something is going on in there, but its just not REAL until you hear that lil heart taching away! Of course, this is becoming a common theme for me, I Cried!! 🙂 I’ve turned into such a girl lately! 🙂
I was given lots of cool, free stuff. Formula, Diaper bags, free baby books, magazines, a portable changing pad (matches the diaper book) and a matching baby journal. I’m so glad that they accepted me as a patient, I feel very comfortable there, and that was what I was most going to miss about leaving Dr. Hoegers practice. I’ve been a patient there so long, everyone knows me, I’m comfortable with everyone there, and I think after a few more appointments I’ll be more comfortable at the new Dr’s Office too! 🙂
